Howls Moving Castle

Went and saw howls moving castle. 2 things I
observed from that night. One , dont advertise
the wrong time on ur website, coz cb will
tell off the ticketing lady. Anyway that
lady was being ghey.

Two, why do they have dual flush on a urinal,
is there really need to up the flow sometimes ?
Also coz i could reach the buttons, but couldnt
see the buttons, i was jumping up on down on
the spot, to see whether they had a 1/2 flush
picture and full flush buttons. Jumping up
and down on the urinal can attract strange
reactions. Luckily it was just nai, wondering
what the hell i was doing.

Walked into the movie, and missed the start. I hate
missing the begining of the movie, and It felt
like that it was more than the credits, and i couldnt
shake that feeling for about 30mins, wondering whether
the opening 5 mins revealed something crucial. I
was tempted to ask a stranger what had happened
but I refrained. Anyway the move was another miyazaki
film, my favourite being totoro. But after watching
the documentary about the film maker i felt i had a
greater appreciation for his films. They tell a story,
that he wants to tell, and its usually about human
interactions, and has a strong environmental theme too
it.

The main guy reminded me of simon. A good person, who
was fighting some battle (perhaps over blown in the
persons mind), and cared a lot about his appearance.
I think the point of the story was that if ur doing
something even if its for a good course, it has no
real purpose unless ur doing it for someone or something.
Thats kind of how i feel sometimes with poker...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Wideshot chips

I saw charlie and the chocolate factory (2005), the remake.
Yep another remake, but at least this one looked pretty good.

The previews i saw b4, naturally were all kiddy :-

Chicken little - could be good
Shark boy and lava girl - terrible, rodriguez has gone loopy.
H Potter 4 - looks good (for H potter)
Ballroom Kids - Ballroom dancing comp for kids -
documentary like spellbound, looks good.

Anyway I like johnny depp, but they did make a few changes
to the story, which when talking to finch pointed out,
had this strong religious / family ethos being shoved
down your throat. And in retrospect, why do they change
the stroy. But it was wacky and colourful and it gave
me some ideas. Interestingly the midget union, complained
that by only hiring one midget and cgi cloning him in
all the scenes, then they had deprived other midgets
work. I wonder what it would be like working for the
midget union (MU)? Prolly like the EU but tackling smaller
issues, ok ill stop now.
